Follow Up

We will follow up with you in person, via phone or via video call after the Fitting Orientation is done. With your Remote Support set up we can do this from the comfort of your own home. You’ll need the app set up, really strong WIFI, a quiet room and no distractions during the follow up call. We will be able to remotely adjust settings and make adjustments to your devices. 

If you have created any programs within the myPhonak app of your own, they will be removed by this process, because if we change the underlying settings, these will no longer work so they are automatically removed. This would happen in an in-clinic follow up as well. 

If you need in-clinic services, we will let you know and make necessary arrangements for you to come in. This includes but may not be limited to:

1. EMIs (ear mold impressions) to build ear-molds or custom-shaped end pieces also known as acoustic couplers for the devices as you may not benefit as much, based on your ear shape, size and hearing loss, from the generic domes.

2. REM (real ear measures) when needed to verify the hearing aid function on your actual ear. 

3. any follow up diagnostic tests deemed necessary on a case-by-case basis.

You’re off to the races! Congratulations, you have completed the process of celebrating sound once again! OH… for the LOVE of HEARING!
